On Friday the 4th July 2025, Ffion is receiving a truly special honour – the Commissioner’s Commendation Award – an award that is not given out lightly.
While on holiday, Ffion suffered a very serious burn, resulting in a great deal of pain and time spent in hospital. Despite this, she showed incredible strength and courage.
Ffion was determined not to miss our survival camp a few weeks ago. Even with her injury, she attended and took part in every single task. Since walking distances wasn’t possible, we created a special carriage for her, pulled by a Scout. She arrived equipped with a box of medicines, creams, and a splint – and impressively, she managed all of this herself with only surpervision from a leader.
The resilience, bravery, and determination Ffion has shown throughout has been nothing short of inspiring.
